    That would complete the hat trick for Dallas. Losing to a 6 seed is the only hole in their resume. They have lost to 1,2,3,4,5,7, and 8. But, hey - there's always next year.

    This wasn't their first time to lose to a 7 seed, either. In 1987 they lost to 7th seeded Portland, but that was a 5-game series.

    so, I think the following is true (check me up on this)

    Since the first round went to a best-of-7 format in 2003, only one #8 has beaten a #1 (Warriors vs. Mavs in 2007), and only one #7 has beaten a #2 (Spurs vs. Mavs, 2010).
