I think it does. Let's face it, Kobe's not getting any younger. In fact, he's been playing like a s of his former self for the past 2-3 months. His skills are in decline and this postseason was essentially his last hurrah. It's unfortunate that this significant knee injury has robbed the Lakers of their chance to compete this season, but it is what it is.
they have no depth anymore, kobe is going to FALL OFF A CLIFF next season, Bynum is made of glass, artest will become a washed up chucker...they will still be good cause Big Bird and scrOdom will play well but they will win about 55 games and lose in either the western semis or maybe the WCF at best.
their hopes of creating another dynasty are gone. they will still be a good team for a couple years though
