Former NBA All-Star Walker eyeing comeback
Former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker is eyeing an NBA comeback.
Louisville coach Rick Pitino says Walker will work out with several Cardinals over the next few weeks. Walker hasn’t played in the NBA since 2008 and has suffered legal and financial woes since stepping away from the game.
Walker agreed to pay three Las Vegas casinos over $900,000 to settle three bad check charges last fall.
Pitino, who coached Walker at Kentucky in the 1990s, said he also hopes Walker will talk to his players about the temptations that come with life as a professional.
Walker was a three-time all-star with the Boston Celtics and won a championship with the Miami Heat in 2006. He played briefly in Puerto Rico during the 2009-10 season.

Ex-NBA star Antoine Walker files for bankruptcy
Former NBA all-star Antoine Walker has filed for bankruptcy.
In Chapter 7 do ents filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of Florida last week, Walker reported having $4.3 million in assets and $12.7 million in liabilities.
Walker’s 2006 NBA championship ring, valued at $6,000, is included in a list of assets.
It’s not the first time Walker has faced financial trouble. In November 2009, he agreed to pay more than $900,000 to settle bad check charges at three Las Vegas casinos and avoid trial on felony criminal charges.
Walker was a three-time all-star with the Boston Celtics. He won the 2006 championship with the Miami Heat.
Walker’s attorney did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
