the matchups they put on the spurs didn't allow dice to play a lot of minutes i believe - otherwise he played extremely well.

I agree -- Dice needs to take 100% of Bonner's minutes. Dice is the ideal counter to Frye on defense. Pop counted on him against Dirk, but Dice is not good enough to check Frye? Dice can play well alongside Duncan and Blair. I would be thrilled if Bonner never received another minute in this series.

Theoretically why can't Dice be in anytime Duncan is not???? He can still be in with Duncan, if he can move around and guard Dirk, I'd assume he can cover Frye half-assed. Plus, we need rebounding desperately, not just defensively either, he can keep some possessions going longer down low, hopefully.

I'm tired of possessions where 1 Spurs shoots a long jumper, 1 stays down low to try to get an offensive board (usually DeJuan), and the 3 remaining heads immediately turn their heads and run back, giving up. I understand we need to stop the Suns transition, but it's not like all of PHX players take off right after we shoot..many times this happened with literally one Spur trying to fight through 4 or 5 Suns for an offensive rebound. So that, put in Dice. If the back court + Jefferson see 2-3 suns take off after Spurs release a shot on a particular possession, fine, obviously get your ass back. Just don't do it to cover no one.
