He did go to Arizona, didn't he? Explains a lot.
His contract expires in approximately 418 days(somebody confirm if they want to do the actual calculations)....hopefully the time flies by..

Sad part is we should be counting down much more than only Jefferson's deal...
Duncan or blair please hit jefferson in the ing mouth and tell him to step up.
The only reason Jefferson is not playing well is because he sucks.
I don't know how many times I've heard that RJ "has been a big-time scorer in this league."
That means now he's just a has-been.
it's much safer to be a rj hater. good choice
Another playoff choker.
Jefferson, Bonner and Mason
I hope I don't see those 3 on the team next season
pop has to go also...fkn lame
the espn announcer that said that tonight also added "on inferior teams" after it.I don't know how many times I've heard that RJ "has been a big-time scorer in this league."
Pop had an ENTIRE ING SEASON to figure out how to get Jefferson involved on offense. he failed. every other ing coach who had RJ figured it out.
I can still see Bonner coming back for some reason, signed at the bare minimum.
Yes, it's really Pop fault that the Jefferson play soft and scared
Pop has nothing to do with Jefferson..
RJ of last year was a good scorer in Milwaukee, even with his declining athleticism, because he had an anomaly of a shooting year..he shot 40% from 3s and by far his best season when it comes to shooting jump shots..
The Spurs' front office obviously banked on that, and it didn't turn out well..it turned out to be an anomaly, severely limiting his offense and fit here..
Can we get a SpursTalk countdown for RJ's contract at the top of the forum?..
Jefferson has convinced himself he doesn't fit into our system, you can tell from his body language and interviews. As long as he has that mentality, he will never contribute consistently.
If we had options, I would want RJ gone. But who could we get for his overpaid contract?
Trade the guy. Period.
That contract may be the Spurs best player next season depending on if they flip it or not. Well, that is unless RJ decides to opt out and really the Spurs.
And overpaid expiring contract is a of a trading piece. If that contract had been expiring this year chances are that Amare would have been a Spur. Thats how good that type of a contract is.
But yeah, be careful with your countdowns because you need to pray he doesn't opt out.
he probably used up all his manjuice
As badly as Jefferson played, he wasn't the only one that played like . There's enough blame to spread around for this one. When they had a twelve point lead and missed those seven straight freethrows, I had a bad feeling that squandered oppurtunities were going to come back and bite them in the ass. That was pretty much the beginning of the end.
If he opts out, and they are willing to spend that money on someone else, I'm sure they can find a decent player -- or two -- this summer. If he doesn't opt out, you make the best trade possible, but you have to get rid of him. Worst investment ever.
Being upset at RJ isn't about this game. Its not even about being upset at him either. Its just having high expectations of what he was going to do and being extremely disappointed. RJ all year long has been the round peg trying to fit into the square hole.
