Needs a jumper and needs to be more consistent at the free throw line.
He's got everything else though. I thought Boston were idiots for giving Rondo that contract but damn he really is the best Celtic nowadays and easily one of the top PG's.
Is he basically top 2 pg?

if he develops a jumper he no longer goes inside.
The thing is, he's even hitting some of them completely open jumpers the cavs are letting him take right now, it's not a stretch to imagine he could improve in that area.....
Deron>Rondo>Cp3 imho.
Playoffs are also a pretty tiny sample size but obviously the most important. Give Rondo those opportunities across the season and he's shown to suck ass from outside or at the line.
I love Rondo, always have, but LOL @ better than CP3..
A healthy Chris Paul is the best PG in the NBA, I wouldn't have to think too much about it..
As for Rondo, he's behind Paul and Williams, but it's debatable after that..
Rondo vs. Nash would be a decent argument..other than passing, they're pretty much completely different players, but I would probably still take Nash for now and maybe another year, since Nash's system is much better suited for him..
Derrick Rose is obviously a better and more versatile scorer, but Rondo has him beat in pretty much every other aspect of basketball, especially defensively..so that would depend on what your team needs..
he is playin with 3 allstars on that team, makes things just easier for him...replace him with any of the top5 pgs and they put up the same stats as his
+1.
If he develops a jumper, he might be the best PG in the league. But that probably wont happen.
No, but he is narrowing the gap Dwill is #1 in my list Rondo is just below Paul for now ...
If you think KG or Allen are anything close to an AS these days idk what basketball you're watching. 29 point, 18 rebound, 13 assist games don't happen just because you have 3 good teammates.
CP3 is getting the DWade treatment from 2008. You get injured and everyone's better than you.
He's as dynamic as any PG in the league. He's fearless and rebounds with aplomb. I love his game!
Rondo took a fat on Cle today, end of story. This is anyones series IMO...Boston seems to play better on the road too.
son thank you for being one of the very few posters on here who actually understand the game of basketball. most people on here have the ignorant mindset of "what have you done for me today?" when judging players.
lol 121-63
lol jannero pargo
lol chuck telling cp3 to his face deron>him and watching cp3 almost cry
son exactly ... just imagine if Paul, Williams, or Nash played on the Celtics? the assist stats would be insane from any of them. in the meantime Ronda can't even average 10 assist with that team.
If Paul Williams or Nash played on Boston they'd have less assists because they'd have players around them who can create their own shot and they wouldn't need to do all the creating for their team. Point guards with other viable all star options on their time don't rack up a ton of assists, anyone with an iota of basketball knowledge knows that.
If Rwàjon Rwondo developed a jumpeâr, he would be me.
sons everyone has their own opinions and favorite players ... but Rondo? are some of you being serious? or is this thread meant to be a joke? Rondo isn't even near being a top 5 point guard in this league, nowhere near it! Some of you really need to educate yourselves on how the game of basketball works and stop buying into TNT/ESPN playoff hype. Sure Rondo has had some damn good games during this playoff run, but to even question him being a top point guard??? LMAO
sons at least the Paul/Williams argument is debatable and legit. It could go either way with those two, but Paul has the edge and his stats completely back it up. the top 5 point guards in this league are (in no particular order other than #1) ...
1.Paul
Williams
Nash
Rose
Parker
others who are on the outside of the top 5
-------------------------------
Billups
Ellis
Brooks
Rondo
well in that case Paul would be dropping 25+ points per game then.
Btw if ppl say Lebron is one of the best defenders in the league then why doesnt he step up & guard Rondo? We all saw what Westbrook was doing to fisher, when Kobe decided to guard him the series was a wrap.
Not really. He'd be less important and his stats would just be down across the board.
Rose above Rondo?
Parker above Rondo?![]()
not true at all. Paul is a legit scorer and easily the best scoring point guard in the NBA.
