indeed, that is my name for him. Beast.
It was bad enough when he was thriving on his athleticism and hustle with slams in the paint and power putbacks on rebounds...now he is getting to be money on that outside jumper too...I realize that Nash was spoon feeding him last night into the heart of the tissue paper defense of the Mavs but the guy looks unstoppable...who on the Spurs not named Duncan even has a hope of guarding this guy?
indeed, that is my name for him. Beast.
His pushups are cool too.
kind of like aggy pushups. coincidence?
That is the Univ of Tennessee male cheerleaders that do pushups after every score, not A&M.
I don't think the guy is that good, I'm more worried about when we face Wade!
Eh, let's get through the Sonics first.
Besides, weren't the Mavs finished last series too?!? Don't count them out yet.
Sorry Manumania, but this kid is awsome. Maybe not on deffense, but offensively, he is dominating. Don't get too carried away, last year we were already in the finals, and what do you know..... .04 happened.

amare>>>>>james
especially in playoffs
I agree MadDog, lets worry about the Sonics for now. Sure Stoudamire is good, but the suns still have to win 3 more games against a very good Dallas team. Dont' count the Mavs out yet. I'm sure the Mavs will win win more then 1 game in this series.
We shouldn't be so damn worried about the Suns when neither team has eliminated their opponents. Lets finish the Sonics off and then we'll think about our oppents.
yeah because us fans decide the outcome of the game and not the players
players need to stay forcused on sonics
however fans can look ahead
Amare sucks
Or at least he did when it was all athletism
Now his getting something resembling a jump shot and what some may call post game other than just facing up and trying to run past his man. Still cant rebound or play D.
Meh its all over for him once the hops start to go, unless he can learn to build other areas of his game. Which to his credit his trying to. I still think all round Marion is the better player.
Great numbers for Amare last night (40 pts, 16 reb). His Playoff avgs aren't bad either (26 pts, 10 reb).
Question is will he still be able to do it against the Spurs?
And he is doing it against the "Second Best Center in the League"![]()
ducks do you have a control key set up for ________ >>>>> James?
Amare probably won't get the multiple fast break flushes like last night but as I said in my original post, If D'Antoni adjusts and Nazr or Rasho have to follow Amare out on the perimeter this creates a new set of defensive problems for the Spurs...fouls will be key in that series...
Why do they have to follow? Maybe cheat to prevent the defensive 3 seconds , but not man up on the perimeter... I would much rather have him taking jumpers than posting up.....

Amare Stoudemire...Is not timid...![]()
How come Mavs are always getting dunked on so bad?!?
(ie, T-Mac over Shawn) Of course, we all know how THAT series turned out....
Wait a minute? Isn't that a foul? Oh oh..... Somebody is going to complain to the league, and then when things settle down, the NBA will be $100K richer......
actually, it looks like Dampier is inside the circle so no foul...but it was obviously a stellar defensive effort...![]()
in that overtime win at phoenix didn't like the whole suns' team have like 50 points each and yet the SPURS still won?
SPURS will handle them when the time comes!
Stoudemire has had his biggest games against the Mavs. He owns the Mavs and I predicted him to have huge series. Well that showed it already, 40 points 16 rebounds.
Yea, Dampier was trying to defend him with his back turned on that play. LOL
