He hurt his knee. Everytime you injure your knee it is serious. Damn I am pissed off. He will probably be out for the first half of the season. Knee injuries are very bad.

I just checked SpursReport site where some of the Slovenian posters have been giving status on the games going on. Apparently, this is true. Beno was carried off the court by his teammates with a serious looking injury, according to the eyewitnesses.

Here is a link to the schedule. These games are being held at different venues in Europe. This game appears to have been played in Prostejov, Czech Republic.

Yeah, I understand the place they played was not even a gym. .. it was a facility/hall normally used for parties or something.

Don Harris just said he spoke to Buford who spoke to Beno an hour ago and Beno told him the knee was stable so hopefully no ligament damage [hoping].

You beat me to it, picnroll.

Don spoke to RC and I guess Beno will get back to Slovenia for further evaluation (MRI?). Hopefully Beno overreacted and it's just a twist. Any cartilage or ligament damage would suck!

I was able to hear the radio comments, also and Don propped Kori for breaking the news to them. Then Don called RC and got the update.

The Slovenia now play with France in France, not in Slovenia!!!!
Beno might return home, but other players go to France!!!!!!

If he has an MRI and anything is sketchy, I'm sure he will return to S.A. to see the Spurs' doctors right away.

Are you referring to Manu's injury in Indianapolis? Yes, he went to Argentina afterwards and then came to SA but I'm not sure what you mean.

Manu reportedly didn't get proper treatment in Argentina for his ankle. I think that's what ducks is referencing.

KSAT12 reported that Danny Ferry spoke with Beno himself and with FIBA and that the injury isn't "serious."

    Good news.

Good. RC spoke to Beno himself too.

Hopefully, "not serious" and "stable" mean that there's no damage.
