People hating on Joe is ridiculous imo. Yes he struggled, but he is still a very, very good player.
Joe is awesome. I'd give my left testicle to see him in a Spurs uniform.
Joe is more than a scorer. A very good defender as well, and can play the facilitating game at times. The Hawks played an one-dimensional Iso-Joe game that made them predictable and over-dependent on him. If he plays in a multi-dimensional offense, he would be great. But yes, he expects a near max contract and also wants some limelight. Why else would he be open to play for the nothing Knicks even when the Hawks were flying high this season?
For the Spurs, the only way they get him is through some kind of a sign and trade with the Hawks. They are keen for a center and would want Splitter if we try to push RJ. I don't think JoeJ is worth giving up Splitter.
