I feel like I should care...but I don't.
Surprised there wasn't some parting shot at the refs. I guess there's still time.

Bluff
He is going to coach Lebron in Chicago
beat me to it
Soo, Kobe signs his extension, then Phil retires?
I would've won a few more if we didn't have to play 8 on 5 all the time
How do these s get their trolls aproved so quickly.![]()
ing SWEEEEETT
now watch him let loose on the that was "coaching" kobe
I can't wait until his next book, should be very informative..
This should be extra motivation for the Lakers..
too bad he never attained le of best coach before retiring
Phil is going wherever the superstars are stacked next year folks, don't fool yourselves lol
I doubt he retires if they win it all. He would want to go for that 4th 3 peat. If they fail to repeat, then I could see it.
That being said, Laker fans, who would you like the most as a Jackson heir. I hear the name Brian Shaw quite a lot. Has he been learning under Phil?
i will be so happy if Phil signs with wherever LeBron goes
a great coach is exactly what LeBron has been missing. Mike Brown ing sucks.
Whatever ...hope he stays if he doesnt we will still thrive this is the LOS ANGELES M"FIN LAKERS!!!!
LOL Would mis him didnt like him much at first (Riley fan) but you cant deny his results
Say for some reason Phil decides to coach another team, he won't trade LA scenery for Cleveland scenery.
Sad, so sad ...a NBa icon may retire and THAT is what you looking forward to? Pathetic.
Even after this run by the Lakers ends, the Lakers will reload within 2-3 years. They never stay average for long. They have done this their entire history and I don't expect that to change.
Reloading to become better than average versus legitimate contention are two different things. Remember, it was 12 years between the Magic Lakeshow and the Shaq-Kobe championships. They may reload more quickly than any other NBA franchise, but that doesn't mean after this particular run is over that they'll be le contenders again in 2-3 years.
At least Pop won't himself at the sight of him anymore.
It all depends on who the coach is. That 90's team had the talent but didn't have the coaching.
maybe it's time for the old man to settle down, pop a few viagara and bring out the freak in jeanie again (ala her playboy days)

I already said goodbye to him in 1998 and then again for the "final" time in 2004
all of this post-jordan/shaq lakers nonsense is just the Lakers/Kobe begging Phil to come back and paying him $12 million per season. Phil thought it was hard to say no to that kind of cash, plus his wife kept nagging him.
he really doesn't want to coach Kobe, nobody would
