He'll probably keep his mouth closed from here on out.
He took it to him so much, they put dudley on artest. He's not as aggressive with Richardson on him.
He'll probably keep his mouth closed from here on out.
Probably not the wisest thing to say before opening on the road against the defending champs.
that he is going to lock kobe down and swipe at his finger
Nobody's that stupid
no that's what he said on the radio
Pre-WCF trash-talk
"I'm going to flop and hack at Kobe's finger" Jared Dudley
"They'll know my name by the end" Channing Frye
"My confidence is huge right now" Goran Dragic
Of course y'all know about Phil and Nash trashing each other too.
He mentioned the finger thing on the BS report podcast aswell iirc.
serious? what an idiot![]()
It didn't have anything to do with Kobe's game..Kobe doesn't need any more motivation than he has playing in the WCF and setting the tone for the series..he would have still dropped 40 if Dudley hadn't talked..
Dudley should have at least showed up though..do anything..at least take a swipe at his finger, it's not like you can get in trouble..at least he's not Frye..
Dudley's a work horse but I have a hard time liking the guy. Something about him makes me want to see him get his ass beat by Artest.
there was a stark contrast on how kobe played against dudley and richardson in that 3rd quarter
Don't be so sure. Kobe's the same guy that still remembers every negative thing someone said about him back in high school in Philadelphia when he decided to declare for the NBA draft. The guy gets motivated by things like that. Would he have still dropped 40 if Dudley didn't say anything? Maybe. But he definitely had something for Dudley because of what he did talk.
Oh, sure..he probably had it in mind, but I really don't think it mattered in the overall outlook..Kobe was in a zone tonight, it's not like he's going to make all those shots just by being angry at Dudley..
It was still stupid for Dudley to say since he didn't back it up AT ALL..
Jason Terry told some story on the radio about how he talked trash to Kobe at the end of a game they won in early 2000's, and when LA played Atlanta the next year he came up to Terry and told him he hadn't forgotten, and went for 40 or something.
So Dudley talking probably did something.
I think Kobe would have definitely targeted him in the RS, but I don't think he needs any extra motivation in game 1 of the WCF, at least IMO..
How was Fish tonight, picc?..
When you're that good, you take offense to people acting like they don't respect your game.
Here's what Dudley said in a radio interview:
He said when he guards Kobe he's going to try to take shots at his finger.
He flat out said that he will flop when he guards him.
Then he said he loves to trap players like Kobe who don't give the ball up.
Dudley my boy, your mouth just signed your death warrant.

oh no you didnt.
Amare still trash-talking
"not giving him no hype, he had lucky game in GM 1"
Lucky? Is Amare daring Lamar to put up another 19 and 19?![]()
