kinda wished I had been there to witness it!
For those of you who weren't there. Some kid played the sax and midway through the anthem the crowd starting singing it... It was awesome! gave me chills...

It was really nice.
yea but it was so cool because the singing was soft almost like a whisper
exactly.
It was another "Proud to be an american" moment there.
Easily the best rendition is that guy's sax playing.
Tastefull, not american idol overdone.
Id vote for that to be at EVERY home game done like that.
I miss the national anthem; in Dallas they play "God bless America".
In Houston they just bump Swishahouse b4 the game.
In Portland they just play something by Rick James or NWA.
Does the crowd not normally sing the national anthem or something? (dumb foreigner speaking)
Americans typically don't. Texans typically do, except Dallas hockey fans who just wait to scream "STARS" after "broad stripes and bright".
It's also difficult to sing along with the national anthem at many sporting events because they get someone that changes the melody or the tempo, they get a pop singer wannabe that trills for ten minutes at the end of each line, or you get some gimmicky thing like a dog that barks the melody when you step on his tail.
, I miss doing that.

especially great was some fans I could hear singing the Anthem while it was being played...i mean the kid played it greatly on the sax and some people sang it.
its amazing because there's some people that don't know the words to it![]()
