Was that the ugliest (made) three pointer you've ever seen. It looked like he started the shot from the back of his neck and tried to miss. Oh well...pad the stats. His 3 pt % will be tops for the spurs for the post season.

it bobbled around the rim forever. then it looked like it was gonna fall off the front, then it rolled in. lol. i was thinkin in my head if that was a game winning shot, that would be the longest 2 seconds ever (with the ball bounding everywhere)

I still can't believe it went in. I had already uttered, "YES!" and then, "Aw, damn Nazr," when the ball finally went in. It looked like the ball was being clumsily guided by someone sitting in the nosebleeds with a remote control and pair of binoculars.

I watched it again over lunch. The physics of that shot were really bizzare. For those of you who missed it, here's a narration:

With about 8 seconds left, Beno drove right and then kicked it out to Nazr who was just right of the top of the key. During Beno's drive, Nazr held his hands out anticipating the kick (LOL). Nazr caught the pass and flung the ball up with some seriously flat trajectory. The ball hit the front of the rim, then bounced all the way to the top of the backboard, skimmed the backboard on the way back down, hits the back of the iron, then bounced forward at such an angle that Reggie Evans went up for the rebound. The ball then knicked hit the front of the iron, bounced back again to the back of the iron, bounced up and then skimmed the back of the iron again as it sank. Five bounces including the backboard.

When Seattle got the ball back the clock read two seconds.

That shot actually cost me $50 on a middle that I had. I had the Spurs to win by 10 for $100. So at half time, I took SEA +3.5 for $25 to middle the bet so my account would be guaranteed to close the night with a certain amount meaning that if that if the Spurs won by 10-15, I would win BOTH bets.

I had it middled and figured that he would miss for sure and the clock would run out for a 14 point win, but he "nailed" it. It was all good though because I am up a ton of money so far in the playoffs and that was just a small hedge. I was happy for Nazr and actually laughed when that happened. He really MOOSED everybody that had SEA in the 2nd half because the Spurs were never really consistently up more than 15 in the 2nd half until that shot. But, that's gambling for you.

I sure doubt it. It was in the last seconds of the game and the announcers were barely even paying attention. Stockton commented a few seconds after the basket that it was the exclamation point on the victory.

The Spurs ran up the score.

The Sonics will kill San Antonio in Game 3 just because of that shot.

How did they run up the score? Nazr took that shot to avoid a shot clock violation. He didn't expect to make it!
