There should be no unions for government employees. The side representing the tax payer really doesn't care. They don't have a financial stake like corporations do. Because of that, government union employees usually get a far better deal than the average Joe.

Michigan, if the governor's and government have any ing idea what theyre doing (they dont), will have the same situation very soon.

The state is dying while population drops and less students are enrolled, yet teachers still make a killing and have the best retirement and benefit plans left in the state.

because private industry has busted unions so badly that the average Joe is not in a union, and is fired for joining or organizing union. Union bashing and employee bashing are fundamental to wealthy class's war on the non-wealthy.
