I loved the 1st one when I was a kid. This trailer looks good, though it seems it's not related to the story of 1 and 2.
Too bad it still has Johny Cage in it. Thank god it seems he dies soon here.
I also can't see Jeri Ryan as Sonia.

The games or the movies? Cuz the games were legit, and the movies were in the The Fast and the Furious tier of "watchable because of the corny factor"

Brah, MK the games licked balls. Take away the blood and the fatalities and you have a ty SF2 knockoff that really isn't very good.
sons maybe so, but the MK character roster easily s upon any other fighting game ever, with a distant second going to Killer Instinct and then Tekken somewhere after that.

This is true. I used to play MK1, but I was a re ed child back then. The games rely on gimmicks and are behind the curve fighting game wise.

People still play SFII compe ively, but nobody bothers with Mortal Kombat.

tbh, you could upper cut your way through the entire game in MK.

Agreed. I'd even put SF above Tekken but below KI, and I played SF religiously like every other kid.

    Wrong.

People still play this game at a high level years after it came out.

Nobody plays MK anymore because (1) its novelty wore off, (2) the fighting mechanics blow, (3) it's unbalanced (e.g. that Sonya video I posted).

Seriously...it's a ING game...get over it...I grew up with MK when I was in middle school...which...back then...was THE ...there was nothing like it...blood...gore...the first MK sucked ass as far as game play...but the characters were new and interesting...MKII really took it up a notch...adding all those new combos...new costumes...the fact that they COULD wind up making this...AND making it Rated R...makes up for so much...I like how they're really trying to tie it back to the real world rather than just mythical creatures and powers...but more about assassins and killers...

That video shows just how much more complicated SFII is than MK. , SFII is more complicated than almost all the MK games.
