Love his sense of humour, but don't want him as the coach. Thanks.

He's great but not for us I think. I don't even know why it's just a feeling. After so many years in SA where they just took care of business I don't think he'd have enough patience for LA's "We don't give a until the Playoffs, and even then not really until later in the POs" at ude. I also don't think he'd be a fan of Kobe coaching on the floor.
He's had Duncan, a quiet superstar who leads by example. It would be difficult to adjust to having a superstar who leads by Words as much as Actions

I think Gregg Poppovich would actually love that mentality of the team, considering that's exactly how he's coached the Spurs his entire career, particularly recently. He just didn't realize these Spurs the past 3 years don't actually have the ability to go far enough into the playoffs in the first place.

    I do ...

i maybe in the minority here (amongst laker and spur fans) but i think he is a GREAT coach ...

yes he needs a HOF level duncan to win it all but so does PJ (need HOF'ers to win it all)

spur fan says we Lakers dont appreciate Pau, Phil Fish etc.

MANY Spur fans dont appreciate Pop enough and give almost all credit to duncan, david and Manu

    Same here Killa.

Pop is a fantastic coach. I've always been a big fan of his.
Post Robinson era, he's done wonders with almost brand new teams and taken them to the finals.

I'd take Pop. Not to mention I love his dry humor.

Pop is the 2nd best coach in the NBA, if Phil retires he will be the best coach in the NBA. I think Vinny Del Negro would be a good replacement for Phil Jackson, young coach with a good mind for the game and led a Bulls team with injurys to 2 straight playoffs. He seems to fit with the mold quite well for a Lakers coach and if they don't 3peat he'd be the perfect guy to blame it on, haha.

    No kidding

Bulls got to get rid of Paxson. That's the problem there. Send him to boston.
