pointless of them to offer it when they know he won't accept. Might as well just start planning for life without Amare.
Suns to make offer to Stoudemire
Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver and coach Alvin Gentry are planning to meet with Amar’e Stoudemire(notes) next week and offer him a contract extension, but a source called it “pretty bleak” that the Suns will be able to convince the All-Star forward to agree to a deal.
The Suns are expected to visit Stoudemire in Chicago at his summer basketball camp, if not wait for him to return to his home in Phoenix, Yahoo! Sports has learned. After rejecting what’s expected to be another counteroffer below the maximum, Stoudemire will opt out of the final year of his contract and become a free agent July 1.

Sarver just wants him to pack his , his looney tune mother and his whole f'in family and cross the border in any direction, it makes nary a diff.
Enough.
He ain't worth the max. If that's what he wants, he can be left. The team that maxes him will have regrets, if not right away, then in 2-3 years.
"worth" and payday have nothing to do with the max or any contract in the NBA, Mori. He's going to get the max, it just won't be from Sarver.
i think amare should goto the knicks and reimplement run n gun system in ny, it probably work in the easts cause not many teams in the east plays defense
i think amare already rejected even before it was offered
Wish he'd stay, will just have to see. I don't really know anyone who would honestly pass him up. As some say, he may not be worth it, but someone is going to give him the big money.
Wow..Mbenga is one ugly .
small difference. The Cavs are getting ed, the Suns are ing themselves![]()
