That's pretty acceptable in an Under-18 tournament.![]()
Lefty! He's got some nice footwork and a little ball handling, even!![]()
Again, I want to see this guy make the team.
The D-League is for lames.
And play how many minutes per game? If Pop somehow justified playing him 10 mpg, he's probably stealing valuable minutes from Splitter or Blair. And if he's playing less than 10 mpg, then he'd probably get a lot more valuable development playing 30 mpg in the D-League.
I'm cheering for the kid too, but when you've got upside, you don't realize your full potential by sitting on the bench.
He looks good and I like the fact that even though he just turned ninteen he has been plalying professional ball for four to five years. So we not getting some immature kid who thinks the world revolves around him this kid knows it is a buisness.
Someoene mentioned he has nice hands which I agree make a huge difference in the abili y of a big. I also like that he showed some nice passing for a big and he can handle the rock pretty dang good to.
People have mentioned him to a Chris Bosh or Lamar Odom type and I don't see that the kid is BIG and looks to like playing with a chip on his shoulder. So i see him like a Brad Miller or even someone like Dice when he was younger. Either way i like that he plays with passion to me that is one of the most underated aspect of a players game.
A little concern is that he has had some shoulder injuries from probably lifting weights wrong. So I think it will be good to be under Spurs trainers who can help him get stronger without tearing up his shoulder blade muscles.
he seems to be a nice strech big...judging from the vids, I dont like his defense very much...his reblounding looks shaky and his mindset seems to be good
you know, what that comes to mind while writing this:
matt bonner!
...with better handles
It's too bad that the Spurs wouldn't play Ian Mahinmi, then they let him go as soon as he learns the system and starts to show some promise only to draft him all over again.
at the nba draft camp
they said
he was unknow
but most intruging prospect
245 pounds in weight
and most upside

someone put the video here idk how to put it
and athleticism!
And Size
And No T-Rex Arms
And Aggressiveness
His 3's probably nowhere near as good though.
definitely looks like a good pick at 49
Looks like a solid pick at this spot. Get him over here.
