    As long as Phil comes back, this is a moot point. Shaw would have been for the long term but for right now in the midst of a dynasty...Phil is the guy you need to keep. Can't blame Shaw for taking a chance though if Bron leaves, he won't last long in Ohio.

    wtf cares about Kurt? the issue is that if PJ leaves Shaw is our best replacement. Period.

    Brian Shaw could probably use the experience as head coach.

    It's tough to be thrown into a head coaching job as it is. But to be a rookie head coach on a championship team, there's a whole different kind of pressure. I know Pat Riley did it. But I think it's not an easy thing to do at all. Could turn out being a good thing for both Shaw and the Lakers.
