I know by RJ opting out helps the Spurs luxury tax-wise, but since the spurs get no additional money to spend on free agents, were the spurs better off with RJ on the roster because we probably won't get a better SF and at least we had RJ's contract for trade purposes.
So are we really better off with RJ opting out?
