HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS – If you ever want to know why we rail against being awful on purpose in an effort to change your fortunes, take a quick look at the New York Knicks.

They lost in every way imaginable for two years with a certain someone in Cleveland identified as their franchise savior. And now with a decision coming in roughly 48 hours, the Knicks look like they won’t even make the final cut.

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, the Knicks already have their contingency plan worked up. And it doesn’t include the names Knicks fans have been dreaming about. Isola has Amar’e Stoudemire and Spurs point guard Tony Parker picked out as the anchors of the Knicks’ revival plan.

So this is what the last two years were all about for the Knicks?

No offense to Stoudemire and Parker, but surely they are not what Knicks fans had in mind when they were told you are going to suffer for the next two years before we can retool and resume a place on the big stage.

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh or maybe even Joe Johnson, Carlos Boozer and Rudy Gay. They were all rumored to be considering the Knicks at one time or another and now it all seems like just a dream.

It means you shouldn't start another Parker-Knicks thread when I just closed two.
