I also hang out in a hunting forum with a bunch of other rednecks and a guy posted a question...
He went home and noticed his German Shepherd out in the back yard and he remembered leaving him in the house when he went to work. He went in the house and there was blood all over the kitchen floor. Also two fingers.
Blood smeared all over the back door, he went outside and his dog had blood all over his face/chest and was chewing on what looked to be an ear.
He wanted to know if he should call the police...

I'd second that. Sounds fishy to me. Was this the dumbest robber in the world, who tried to break in to a home without a weapon? As well, how did the dog get two of his fingers? Was the man trying to slap the dog? If a dog charges me and I don't have a weapon, I'm turning away and running, or barring that, trying to punch him in the nose.
The only way I see that scenario playing out is if the dog bullrushed him, knocked him to the ground, bit his ear, and then the man tried to push him off, and the dog got his fingers as well. If that were the case though, the man would've left a heck of a blood trail.
That's not funny.
Or more likely trying to protect his throat with his hands. And he did leave a good blood trail.
