Its Bleacher's report ... hence, just some contributor's opinion. Nothing much to be concerned about actually since everyone has been saying that our era is over since like forever.

Didn't realize Duncan had an ETO after this season. Any possible way he uses that to terminate his contract than sign another 2 year deal for even less $?

Highly unlikely due to the CBA lockout thing.

Tim only has 2 years left on his deal anyway so he may be done after that..

Lol just some blog from some nobody. Why anyone bothers reading these. Every off season something like this is put out. Just hearing Timmy leaving or being traded is enough for me not to even click the link.

IT's sad i know but if you look at it from his point of view, he'll have made his money, he has his rings, his legacy as an all time top 10 player is secured..

If the Spurs are no longer in contention, why hang around???

To help develop Splitter/Blair or whoever he hands the reigns to. Duncan is very loyal and if health is not the issue I don't see him leaving just because the Spurs are not in contention.

He's not, but it's obvious that Tim loves to play. I don't think that he's quitting when he's 34. He plays very samrt and uses his energy very economic. I think that he will play at least until 36 or 37 years old.

The point however , on why Parker might not want to stay has some merit. It being his last contract he might want the max and if a team like the Knicks can offer him that plus have the potential to win with young talent around me , you have to wonder how inticing that would be for Parker.
From FO's point of view if they risk Parker leaving and getting nothing in return. There could be a point to trade for talent to start that rebuilding process

I stopped reading after reading this:

In just four seasons, Tim Duncan will be 38 and Ginobili will be 37. It's hard to imagine both of those guys still being in the starting rotation at that point in their careers.
In 2014, Parker is looking at a starting lineup including James Anderson, Alonzo Gee, Dejuan Blair, and Tiago Splitter. Parker will be 32-years-old and will likely not be at his best.

Is this guy stupid, or is he sick which I couldn't find what it's? He's writing about 4(four) seasons later. Won't Spurs make any frree agent addition, trade or draft next 4 years and continue to play with Gee, Blair and Anderson? What a moron... How can you know that Spurs will not add Dwight Howard in 2012 summer? Or find another gem next year's draft?

Here's the guy whose article you've been reading from, OP should be ashamed :

My name is Max Minsker and I am currently going to high school in Minnesota. I am a long time sports fan, and enjoy a variety of sports but my favorite sport to watch and play is basketball. I am always reading about basketball, and I always enjoy watching and learning more about it. My favorite pro teams are the Los Angeles Clippers and the Minnesota Timberwolves and my favorite college teams are Purdue and Illinois. I participate on my schools public forum debate team as well as the extemporaneous speaking team. I am a huge world cup fan and the olympics are always fun. Phil Jackson is no doubt the best basketball coach of all time and the Lakers will complete their 3-peat next season. I am constantly exploring trade possibilites and recruiting trails (mostly NBA and college basketball) so send me your stuff, I would be happy to take a look although I have to say I view myself as more of a critic so be careful. I have written for other sites in the pst, but the one I am currently writing for besides b/r is allvoices.com. You can see the link to my profile below.

    This is a good post.

Not counting team moves over 4 years, in 4 years the Spurs:

will have George Hill in his prime, maybe an all-star

will have Blair in his prime, maybe an all-star

will have Splitter in his prime, maybe an all-star

will have James Anderson in his prime, maybe an all-star

a still very good Tony Parker

A Time Duncan who will still be an above average starter and still probably an all-star if he is averaging 15-10.

The article sucks but our dinasty is over.It is over since 2008 and I don't expect to win more tles with the team built around our big3.

I was excited about the team last year but it was a big disappointment for me.I don't expect a better 2010-2011 season
