Oh yeah I also forgot the Lara Croft movies.
the first American mainstream action heroine?
Tell me I'm wrong and that honor goes to someone else.
Isn't it obvious to us that there is a trend about her being a bloodthirsty super-assassin?
[Mr. and Mrs. Smith/Wanted/Salt]
So what's her next movie role: a killer cyborg in the next terminator movie?
Oh yeah I also forgot the Lara Croft movies.
Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman). Carrie Fisher as Leia seems like the first mainstream action heroine role but her career sucked after that.
Milla Jovovich and Angelina Jolie are the ones getting action roles now but Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, Catherine Zeta Jones, Halle Berry, Kate Beckinsale, etc made a lot of action flicks as well. Would not mind watching a version of "The Expendables" except with that cast![]()
o? Ripley would like a word with you in the cargo bay.
This.
And the funny thing about the OP's comment about Angelina playing a killer cyborg is that she's already been down that road with Cyborg 2.
Even though it was only one movie, Linda Hamilton was mega-awesome in Terminator 2 as well.
She shows her huge round ones in that corny movie IIRC
Not the first, just the latest. I like her action films, but she's a solid actress all-around, IMO. Wanted and Changeling were two of my favorites, because they were polar opposite movies in terms of tenor, yet she pulled off both roles almost simultaneously.
