Ken Burns' Baseball

Just finished watching it again. If there's a better sports do entary that's ever been made, I'd like to see it. A fascinating account of baseball and America in the 19th and 20th centuries. While it tends to be too New York-centric at times, I loved the amount of coverage given to the Negro Leagues. I also suddenly have the urge to buy about 30 early-20th-century baseball team caps.

I watched it for the first time a couple of months ago. It really gives you a great perspective about the different eras of the game. I learned a lot about John McGraw and Connie Mack. I heard their names before but I didn't realize how important they were to the game. Also, the long, arduous road to integration was well do ented.

Thanks for the heads up on the new installment. I will be looking forward to it.
