ALL HE DID WAS TELL HIS TEAMMATES

They called ESPN and said he said he was done, and ESPN ran the story instead of waiting for confirmation from Favre, cause ESPN is turning into ET

From what I heard they never heard from a team mate, they heard from a source who knows a source who said the team mates said he was retiring.

The funny thing is Werder was in Mississippi yesterday and was trying to call Favre all day but Favre screened his calls. Then today he talks to him to set it straight rofl

What's really stupid is that IIRC the text said "this is it" and that could mean anything.

ESPN should do another prime-time "Decision" show with Favre breaking the news to Childress with the proceeds going to charity

    If I were a Vikings player--I would probably take some time...go to a riverboat party...bone a stripper...

I mean, he gives you the best chance at making the Super Bowl. I would bite my tongue until he really does retire and then write a book about it all.

As much as I would want to see Rosencopter fly through the air, I would remember that we were one bad pass decision away from possibly being in the Super Bowl.

Some of you guys got fooled pretty bad by ESPN or other media. Favre didn't do anything. The media created this situation and now they're trying to act like Favre's doing this to us again rather than admitting they got owned by going with sources that don't know .
