The off season is close to half way over(sue me if I'm off a couple days). We are all pretty excited about our signings(except the consensus being Matt Bonner). We all have a dream of seeing our Team win one more le.
I have a strong feeling that if we the Spurs meet this criteria that yes the Spurs will be floating down the river again. So here they are Spurs add their fifth If....
-Splitter is effective in the paint on both sides of the ball by mid season.
-George Hill shakes his slump from the Suns series and returns to form
-Blair is more consistent AND gets more minutes
-James Anderson can become an effective 10-12 minute guy
-Richard Jefferson bounces back.
-Matt Bonner doesn't suck(yes this is the biggest IF ever)
(-I feel stupid saying this, the Big 3 stay healthy)
Hopefully this is not to much to ask. Add your IFs

In no particular order:
- Manu shoots more consistently
- Tony hits his jumpers when the lines are closed
- We go back to GAF about playing defense as a team
- Stop relying so much on the 3 ball
- McDyess still has something left in the tank
- Bonner doesn't see the floor in the playoffs (if we make it that far)
- Tim didn't run out of gas by the middle of the season
- Stop pretending we're any good at playing small ball
- Hill hits the corner three more consistently
- Stop playing guys out of position
- Pull off a trade mid-season if things are not looking so rosy
- One of Temple/Gee/Anderson/Neil turn into a real, consistent contributor
- Hope other team's stars don't catch fire
- Try some different defensive looks (zone?) if we're getting torched
- Stop the Jefferson at PF experiment
- Don't re-sign the centerpiece
- Don't re-sign RMJ
- Splitter doesn't get injured at the Worlds
- Pop has patience with the new kids
- Matt Bonner makes me look silly
- The team peaks at the right time (the return of SPAM)
- We snatch a top 4 seed

Actually, I think the big "if" is that hopefully it won't matter whether Matt Bonner sucks. The lineup will be so improved that he'll be strictly a situational sub.
Ok we get it..you dont like RJ..but seriously, let the guys ballsack have some breathing room, your worse than a female
Spurs will reach the WCFs if:
1. The Big 3 stay healthy and rested
2. Splitter overachieves or at least pans out
3. RJ gets a clue
4. Pop returns to pre-2008 Pop
5. Hill and Blair continue to improve
6. Dice still has something left in the tank
7. One of Neal or Anderson contributes
8. Bonner doesn't play in the playoffs
These would be helpful to get a ring:
9. Kobe and KG get season ending injuries
10. Lebron/Wade/Bosh don't gel
