Not necessarily Spurs-related but it's the offseason (and it's kinda Spurs-related).

    Is genoism good for sports?
    by Timothy Varner

Andrew Niccol is usually associated with The Truman Show. But Gattaca (1997) is his best film.

Gattaca imagines a (not so) future world where discrimination no longer grows in the soil of, say, racial prejudice. The preeminent ism of the future is genoism–discrimination against one’s genetic make-up. In Gattaca, all of society is organized around the genetic predispositions of its members. From the womb forward a person’s station in life is predetermined by their genetic potential. Whether one becomes an astronaut or janitor is, more or less, determined prior to birth. Gattaca presents a world where potential is met, but never exceeded; it’s a world where we’d never find Will Hunting sweeping a university floor.

I think playing the sports only with enchanced athletes genetically designed would be, or should be, as ilegal as it is today to use drugs to rise a players performance.

If you are looking to a super sport, just open up a league where players can youse drugs and you have it. A few will die for sure, but as said... anything to pay the rent.

Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I'd still have to bum rides off people.

i agree its a quick fix and will begin to change their bodys very soon, ive always wonderd what is in lets say lebrons genetic make up i mean the man is what 25 years old? he looks like hes in his mid 30s early 40s as do alot of big players and i sometimes ask myself is this natural? i have never seen such people walking down the street in the 26 years that ive been alive (21yrs that i can remember).

i believe theres something to this i mean if you look at
greg oden/Al jefferson/lebron james/andrew bynum these players do not look anywhere close to their 20's !!! do you guys see 20 year old men ever look that old ??? especially african american who age really good. i mean its something to question and i think players such as Oden Howard James are taking something we have no clue about.
