Melo telling friends he's eager to look at Knicks option

Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony is a free agent next summer and he has told friends that he's "eager to explore playing" for the New York Knicks when his contract is up, according to CBSSports.com. However, the site reports that Anthony is also a little confused about what's going to happen with the next collective bargaining agreement and that could lead to him signing the three-year, $65 million extension the Nuggets have offered him. ... "Carmelo already wants to play in New York," one source told the site. "He doesn't need anybody to bring him there. He's a gunslinger. That situation is perfect for him."
