He is slowing down significantly on defense, his lack of lateral quickness was apparent all last season, and his shooting % is dropping.
.418 is all he shot last season.....
He is still a solid player and gets a lot of points at the FT line, but his days as an elite PG are numbered.

In the year the Detroit Pistons won the Championship he shot .394 from the field. The year he was considered for MVP, he shot a mere 4.18 from the field. Mr. Big Shot has never been a consistent shooter, just a clutch one.
What bothers me is that he doesn't have the same lift, never blindingly athletic, on his jumper anymore. He can't fly around the court. I think he's got 1-2 seasons left as an elite player and he'll be a sentimental starter or career backup for the next 2.
does he want to play for the MLE? its easily doable if he agrees to that
