The lawyers for Woods and Elin Nordegren say in a statement that the divorce became official Monday in Bay County Circuit Court.
The divorce comes nine months after Woods crashed his SUV outside their home near Orlando, setting off explosive revelations that the world's No. 1 golfer had been cheating on his wife. It led to Woods losing millions of dollars in endorsements and taking five months away from the game.
Terms of the divorce were not disclosed, except that they will share parenting of their two children, ages 3 and 1.

Well, I've always said, athletes should not get married. Once you see all that scattered ass following you around, you just can't help but go ahead and bang ...... just stay single and all that pressure is taken off.
X2.............this is very clear. I feel the same way about Hollywood, stay single till you are out of the limelight. Seems no Hollywood marriage works..........its very, very rare if it does. Same goes for music stars............. !!! any famous person should stay single.

I don't know if it's the reason, but some people want to have kids in wedlock as opposed to having what would be considered "bas " children. I would have to think that's at least part of the reason some pro athletes get married. It's not as big of a deal in today's society, but I think it's still important to some people.
But, I'd agree if a pro athlete isn't ready to give up that lifestyle then it's better to just stay single.
What gets me about Tiger, he wasn't just ing random chicks. He was having long term relationships with his side hoes. If you're going to creep and creep with that many women, keep them side hoes, not girlfriends. If you're cheating on your wife with one other woman, then it might be understandable. But if you're going to be ing a different girl every couple days, make sure they stay hoes. Don't have long term relationships with them.
