I bought it last week at Fry's electronics. You can do it online, add it to cart then create an account and at checkout you will see the discount. Not sure if its expired though but for $400 this deal can NOT be beat.

I am absoultely thrilled with this purchase. Im going to use it as a computer monitor and part time for my ps3. I cant really tell a difference between my 40" lcd 1080p and this 42" 720p. I definitely feel like i got a great deal.

You got a great deal, imo too.

I dunno how much you'll like it as a monitor though. My 15 inch laptop has what is basically that resolution so yeah, I dunno about a 42 inch TV screen with that resolution but it should kick ass for your PS3.

One bit of advice, I know they have pretty much gotten rid of the burn in factor on plasmas but I'd still run that baby for about 100 hours with a burn in disc/program before using it with a computer or PS3 for any length of time.

Yeah im running it at a lower intensity as far as brightness goes for now. Hdmi out from my pc or my laptop gives this one of a picture as both have pretty solid video cards. It's pretty sick when you think about it that 2 or 3 years ago this TV would have cost close to $2000 or better.

Great deal. I bought my 37" 1080P 6 months ago for $399. But it's for my bedroom so I probably wouldn't get any bigger. I'm still trying to find an articulating arm bracket to hang it in the corner of my room.

I believe this is the model I got from best buy (under the insignia name plate), it is a great TV. It does have a few different burn protectors (pixel shift, etc), however, unlike old plasmas, you can go touch the screen and not even feel heat at all. They have lowered power consumption as well. Got mine for $420 and the actual samsung has a few more "ins" so that is a phenomenal deal (especially since at the time I bought the Insignia (2 months ago), the samsung was $490.

Cause no one wants to wear those goty glasses to watch TV. Although there is a company that will soon be making 3D TV's without the need to wear anything.

eh, I think I will skip this round of TV upgrades and just save the money I would have spent on it to put towards the next round the home personal holodeck.

you know how much a tv like that costs over here? around U$2500. Our piece of government taxes the out of electronics imports. You know, to protect the local industry... that doesn't ing exist.

Sears has them. If not at a local store:

TV Mounts and television accessories at Sears.com

Referring to yourself? With that 11.6" laptop. Your pixels are actually a little smaller than a 17" WUXGA screen.

I should've been more clear. I've seen some articulating arms in person, I'm just trying to get a good price for them. I really don't want to spend more than $40 bucks total.

    http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

I would jump on this if I was in the States. Unfortunately, shipping is expensive from monoprice to Canada.
