Looks good.
Synopsis
Six years ago NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system. A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon re-entry over Central America. Soon after, new life forms began to appear and grow. In an effort to stem the destruction that resulted, half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain the massive creatures... Our story begins when a jaded US journalist (McNairy) begrudgingly agrees to find his boss’ daughter, a shaken American tourist (Able) and escort her through the infected zone to the safety of the US border.
Another version:
At least its not J.J. Abrams
as far as I can tell, this doesnt look like a "first person" filmed movie. The only scene that resembles that is the scene with the soldiers.
Looks more like District 9 to me.
You mean the movie Monster
Looks sweet - hope the monsters are giant and bad ass looking.
Even though I won't be able to defend it when someone says it's 'District 9' meets 'Evolution'(the movie), I still wanna see this. Too bad it's got a lame ass name though. And what's so bad about JJ Abrams? Cloverfield was one of the most intense movie experiences I've had
Yeah I'm not sure why you'd mock JJ Abrams. The guy makes excellent stuff. I was sad when he decided not to do the Dark Tower books by S. King. I'm still hoping for an extension or prequel to Cloverfield storyline.
I was under the impression that's what Super 8 might be? Or is that just some random rumor that popped up when the teaser started running?
I read somewhere that the movie was filmed with a $15,000 budget, but that it still rivals the production quality from some of the latest aclaimed hits...
Talk about a jackpot for the producer; this movie will make a box office splash considering its mid-November release date...
Yep! That was just some rumor. JJ Abrams already came out and said Super 8 wasn't connected to Cloverfield.
Saw it this weekend. Not bad at all. Not that much of an actual Monster movie. Was really impressed when I read that most of the movie was improvised acting.
