Future hiring will mainly benefit the high-skilled

Doesn't look good for the general welfare of this nation. Lead paragraph:

Whenever companies start hiring freely again, job-seekers with specialized skills and education will have plenty of good opportunities. Others will face a choice: Take a job with low pay — or none at all.

The wealthy class' War on the lower 95% has been won.

Middle class hollowed out, stagnant or decreasing real income (if you still have income), increasing costs for college and health insurance/health, the banks All All Y'all All The Time.

Now Magic Negro's hyper-secret Deficit (Con Job) Commission (aka "We Wealthy Vampires Smell That Y'all Still Have Some Drops of Socialist Blood Left) is going after Soc Sec, Medicare, Medicaid, child health insurance, veterans' benefits. Thanks, Alan Simspon, you senile old asshole, for telegraphing the DefComm's attack plans.

Soc Sec contribs will be raised (but the cap for wealthy will be reduced more), retirement age will be raised, Medicare/Medicaid payments will be reduced, and millions will be disqualified.

The Movement Conservatives + Repugs, aka a front groups/proxies for the hyper-wealthy, are nearing the end of killing The American Dream. The ed Americans are gonna Keep Dreamin The Impossible Dream.

Alan Simpson and Pete Peterson, of all people, on the Deficit (Con Job) Commission? WTF, Magic Negro?

All we need now to complete the destruction is for the Repugs to bomb Iran, and invade from the East and West, kill them brown Muslims and grab their oil, and hand out 100s of $Bs (debt financed, of course) to the corrupt MIC.

It's all to pay for the $Ts in tax cuts for the wealthy and for the Repugs bull wars.

The Beast Is Fully Starved, the Wealth Hyenas, Corporate-Americans, Infected Scavengers are roaming the country to pick off the last bits of flesh from the Human-Americans.

How about we just cap all income taxes at a maximum 25% of gross when the tax increases come around in 2011 and change what we call social security insurance.

Make it mandatory that employers give a 7.45% pay increase giving the payroll taxes to the employees to pay. Do away with SS/Medicare insurance premiums, and making work pay. Now introduce a "social tax" at 13.87% of wages, replacing the SS/medicare. The employee will still have the same net pay after this deduction. However....

We never change the income tax brackets again. If congress wants more money to spend, they have to increase the "social tax" which all working citizens will pay. They can decrease it as well. This way, all voters who work have a stake in any tax rate changes, and will vote accordingly.

Financial vampires ipping off dead vets insurance? You Betcha!

Ripping Off Dead War Vets' Beneficiaries

Three firms, including Prudential and Metropolitan Life, handle retained-asset [fake] accounts for about 130 life insurers. No public records show how much, but at least $28 billion is involved.

I guess these "too big to fail" corporations are given the "go ahead" to rip Americans off by this administration, right?

Afterall, it is these corporate aspects that democrats are in bed with.

Looks like the recovery jobs will be infrastructure and involve shovels (literally) or "Green Jobs" that involve insulation and caulking guns.

    Sweet.

Well, thats where the proposed stimulus is going. Roads, bridges, runways, and "green jobs"....which is a euphemism for tax credits for insulation and caulking.

Most construction jobs qualify as skilled. Not to mention the engineering that goes into them.

The engineering the goes into those jobs is obviously highly skilled but I don't think someone has to be highly skilled to lay some insulation. Of course what I consider highly skilled and what the definition of high skilled jobs are may very well be two different things.

If the information in the article in the OP is a surprise to anyone then they've probably been living under a rock.

Plus a lot of the engineering is now being outsourced to India.

Maybe I simply cannot connect the dots, but I don't see green jobs as being anything big for several years still. It's still mostly hype. It isn't cheaper, and will not be for some time. There is a small market demand willing to pay the premium for it, but as for growing to the general population... I think not.

Anything that "saves energy" gets counted as a green job...tax credits for insulated windows, tax credits for insulation, tax credits for "energy audits" on homes and caulking cracks, tax credits for energy star appliances, etc.

But we've been doing that for years. Not much more ground to cover that is economically feasible.

Fuel mileage standards, energy star equipment, low-E windows, Krypton filled windows, higher R value insulation...

I can go on and on. All these jobs are already there, and have been. New jobs my ass.

Remember now, This is a response to:

So your radical idea is for the populace to exist in a state of blissful ignorance, unburdened by thoughts about what the benevolent mother government might be doing with the money it takes from it's citizen children.

    +1 on totally bat crazy.
