Revis had some leverage but not nearly as much as the Jets. With the possibility of a lockout for 2011, he'd lose 2 years off his career if he sat out this year with no money and the Jets would still have his contract. They offered a respectable amount of money so he had to sign even if he wasn't the highest paid.
