It's not real. Read the rest of the thread.

But I did hear that Sony wanted to make the PSP2 having cell phone abilities, so we'll see.

    a) It's a Sony iPad. Whoopdie-doo.

    b) Can anything really suck more than the current PSP models? I've never had particularly high hopes for a portable gaming option from Sony after they managed to change the PSPs design, repeatedly, in the years since it was introduced without ever realizing it needed a second ing analog sti... nubbin.

The design did suck and the controls were horrible but most of the games for the PSP weren't that great either. All they were compressed versions of their big brother consoles games. But the PSP was great for emulation and hacking the out of it. Good times.

Touchscreen controls need to die. They need to die right now and never be implemented again in a serious/dedicated gaming system.

i am actually agreeing with you on this... that zombie game is ty with on screen controls though the bruce lee game i have is kind of fun and the controls aren't bad. still... real joysticks are better!

Touchscreen controls are never a great idea in real gaming. Touchscreen controls are too unpredictable. Please gaming companies, stick with the real buttons and joysticks.

imo, touch screen controls have their place. mainly on the ds anyway. once developers started nailing the touch screen controls that system got really good.

rts like advance wars, zelda touchscreen games, fps like metroid/cod, flight games like starfox, ninja gaiden, and some other quirky les were a blast because of the touch screen interface. it was like having a mouse.

that said i would not be intrigued in the slightest by the pic in the OP. nor most touch screen games on my phone. gotta be done right - and sometimes that means a d-pad, buttons used in conjunction with the touch.
