Capcom Announces Asura's Wrath

Anger and aggression take center stage in Capcom's newest franchise, third-person action game Asura's Wrath. Unveiled today at the Tokyo Game Show in Japan, Asura's Wrath will put players in control of one very pissed off god that can dish as good as he can take.

Developed by .hack// creators CyberConnect 2, Asura's Wrath is powered by Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3. Though few details were provided about the new IP, Asura's Wrath director Hiroshi Matsuyama promised something completely new.

"What we're bringing to this game is a brand new style that will have you questioning whether or not you're even playing a game," Matsuyama told the TGS audience. "Sometimes even we're confused if what we're making is a game." See for yourself what he's talking about with the off-the-wall trailer below:



Asura's Wrath is being developed for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Capcom did not announce a release window.

Bad ass trailers but the gameplay footage in another video looks pretty slow. I didn't get that hyped up feeling like I did from the two trailers.
