Life after LeBron: Williams tries to move on
By Marc J. Spears
Mo Williams is 27, healthy and has three years and $26 million remaining on his Cleveland Cavaliers contract. But none of that mattered much to him this summer after he watched LeBron James leave the Cavs to join the Miami Heat. Williams said he was so depressed by James’ exit that he considered walking away from the NBA.
“That’s how bad it got,” Williams said. “I contemplated it. I really sat down and envisioned life after basketball. …I really saw myself not playing.
“It just didn’t make sense to me. …It doesn’t make sense to me.”
Williams played alongside James the past two seasons, serving as the Cavs’ starting point guard and second-leading scorer as they finished with the NBA’s best record two years in a row. Cleveland’s regular-season success, however, didn’t translate to the playoffs, where the Cavs fell short of reaching the NBA Finals both times. Still, Williams felt comfortable in his role next to James. He was named to the All-Star team in 2009 and remained hopeful that, together, they could deliver a championship to Cleveland in the 2010-11 season.

The media, especially Yahoo, has been pathetic with their attempts to bring down The King..an article about Mo Williams now?pathetic..Mo Williams has never had any attention paid to him, now he gets an article in an attempt to make Lebron look bad IMO..
The NBA is going to be very difficult to watch for a lot of people in the next 5-6 years..
^you -riding , this article doesn't make Lebron look bad, it makes Mo William's ass look bad.
at you still claiming Spurs when you can't read the word Lebron on the internet without massive amounts of butthurt
Mo sound like he had some sexual feelings for LeBron. Almost as bad as Kool has for Kobe.
Not that bad, while Mo maybe , Koolaid is a flaming raging
what a got..yes, this coming from TheMachine.
In that white ensemble Kobe is quite fetching.
without the crab en bering the team i firmly believe the cavs will go much farther next season than they've ever been in the past seasons with lebron. mo and jamison both are world classes who will give enough power to keep the ship moving, not to mention they also have a future hall of famer in the form of JJ hickson.
williams is depressed his boyfriend left him for wade.
“It just didn’t make sense to me. …It doesn’t make sense to me.”
hahahaha
now if only I was a white girl...![]()
You must not know Kool all that well...
Mo gonna miss those post game quickie connections...

It is easier to make a hole than a pole
I really sat down and envisioned life after basketball. …I really saw myself not playing.
“It just didn’t make sense to me. …It doesn’t make sense to me.”
I was really hoping that he really didn't say this but I guess he did. Mo Williams is a pussy, I've lost the little respect I had for him after reading this. He probably contemplated suicide after Lebron left.
Right up until he realized that he wouldn't get that $26M if he stopped playing.Mo Williams is 27, healthy and has three years and $26 million remaining on his Cleveland Cavaliers contract.
“That’s how bad it got,” Williams said. “I contemplated it. I really sat down and envisioned life after basketball. …I really saw myself not playing.
You surprised really..that's what Lebron does..He breeds pussies...none of those cats had any real spine...and look the out..He did say he was taking those "talents" to South Beach...![]()
you are right Harlem, that Adrian cat on yahoo has been overly personal with his Lebron stories. But this? This makes Mo look made, not Lebron. Lebron used and abused Mo and when he got bored... dropped him like a true player should. It's just humorous that this cat is acting all female about it. He on some "how can i go on?" ..."was it me" ... type of . I can just picture him all alone in his mansion lights off playing Toni Braxton: "unbreak my heart. say you'll love me again ...undue this hurt you caused when you walked out of my life" (paraphrasing)
IIRC, I saw or read an interview where mo said wherever Lebron goes he will follow. "I'm playing wherever Lebron is" he joked. Now the joke is on him.
Maybe if you had showed up on the games where LeBron needed you the most.........
i think those 27 million convinced him to come back
