Officials have now CLOSED the UT-Austin campus. Gunman still on the loose. They are warning those who are not on campus to stay away.

The university is closed.
A suspected shooter in PCL library is dead. Law enforcement are searching for a second suspect. If you are off campus, STAY AWAY. If you are on campus, lock doors, do not leave your building.

yeah no classes today. i had one at 11, but figured itd be closed anyway because my prof is head of campus security...
im right next door to the PCL. seems like APD brought out its entire arsenal to parade all over campus. they wont let me leave my room except to go eat.

Someone wandering around a college campus with a gun is a good thing to joke about.
Yeah, Elizabeth McCracken has been tweeting about it. She's in lockdown in her office. 9-10 SWAT-team-like people (camo and rifles) came through her building a short time ago. She doesn't think there is a second shooter, but the only way to affirm that is to do this sort of search.

i dont have a camera...but it looks like someone like bill powers just came out and is talking to the media at the yellow tape. theyve been blaring the emergency campus horn all morning...
Latest report from The Austin American Statesman.... the gunman found dead in the library reportedly only had one testicle....
Not sure if the Gunman changed his mind at the last second and just killed himslelf or what. Thank God no one else was hurt though.
