Tony - B (he needs to be a little more consistent)
Manu- A (If he can eliminate some of the dumb turnovers he would have an A+)
Bruce- B- (Guy is averaging 3 pts per game or so, we need more of last night from him)
Tim- A- (We're spoiled because we have come to expect A+)
Nazr- B+ (my only complaint is his defense, but he seems to be getting better)
    Barry- D (The enigma)
Horry- A+ (Guy is awesome, what more can you say)
    Devin- Too early
Rasho- MIA, but given decent minutes when he's played.
Glen Robinson- C+ (His defense has proven more valuable than his offense)
    Beno - C- (He's showing signs)
    Tmass- DNP coach's decision

I think you've got things mixed up man, Horry gets an A+ and Manu gets an A?? I'm sorry but Manu has brought it EVERY single game in this playoffs, and if it wasn't for him, Horry wouldn't have had a chance to make those ALL IMPORTANT 3's. I think its Manu A+ and Horry A. Plus I think Bruce should get a B+ or more.

    Tony needs a C.

And Nazr needs an A, Seattle would be getting ready for Phoenix or _allas right now without him.

I was grading them within their roles. Manu has easily been the best player on the team, but there is room for improvement because Manu is so great.

Horry has maxed out his role, giving us anymore would take away from the other guys.

yeah, I should have seen that sorry. Although if that's the case, I still think Bruce should get a higher grade, aswell as Nazr

tough grading bruce, because we have seen him guard Kobe and at the same time score 20 or more points. Knowing that I can't give him an A yet. Nazr has been real good, but he too can give more.

Manu-A (really getting a great rep)
Tim-B (especially considering he's coming off an ankle injury)
Tony-B- (had it been up till Game 4 of the Sonics series, it'd have been B+)
    Bruce-B (doing what he does)
Nazr-B (up and then disappears. Overall doing a very good job)

Bench-B+ with Manu off the bench, C+ with Manu in starting lineup.

We need quality minutes and play from Devin Brown and Radoslav Nesterovic, no two ways about it.

    Manu: A
Has exceeded expectations and then some. Even his "off" games this post season would be considered average games by his standards during the regular season.

    Horry: B+
Has played huge minutes in Rasho's absence and has stepped up to the challenge, defensively and offensively.

    Nazr: B
While he has struggled at some points in the offensive scheme, there have been times when he has simply dominated the game and gone above and beyond what is normally expected of a role player.

    Bowen: C+
The defense has been there, though at times he has overplayed one side of his opponent and allowed him to drive past him with ease. Needs to be more confident in his shot... Hopefully last night was an indication that he will shoot with more confidence from His Spot.

    Duncan: C+
Obviously hobbled a bit, he has not been his dominant self on offense or defense, but has still come through in the clutch more often than not. It is imperative, however, that he guard the basket better in the next round(s) of the Playoffs. His FTs have been a nice bonus.

    Parker: C+
Has had more good games than bad, but tends to be shaken when he expects to get hit... and it carries over through multiple games. I would like to see him bounce back with more confidence after a subpar game.

    Barry: D
Need more from Barry all around... DNP-Invisible games are unacceptable at this time of year. Frankly, I think he's being too unselfish. He's our best FT shooter, and he should be going strong to the basket to draw fouls whenever possible.

    Udrih: D
Has been as invisible as Barry, really... maybe more careless as well.

    Popovich: B
Most of the time, has made the right adjustments at the right times. Has adapted to Manu's success by making him a primary offensive weapon, particularly in crucial situations. I would like to see him work harder to light a fire under Barry's ass. But all in all, he has out coached two very good coaches so far in the Playoffs.

    Very well done.

    AHF,

Manu is good enough to eliminate the stupid turnovers like he did in game five with the exception of a stupid pass at the end of the game. Other than that he's been perfect.

tough grading bruce, because we have seen him guard Kobe and at the same time score 20 or more points. Knowing that I can't give him an A yet. Nazr has been real good, but he too can give more.
I thought we were talking within their roles. Bruce's role was to guard Allen and he did very well. Nazr's role was to be a garbage man, and he's done that to perfection!! and Manu, well, if we're going to base ourselves on his best performances to grade him, then we would need to expect a 40 point performance every night, and hence give him a B for the playoffs. Don't even get me started on Timmy! LOL I tell you what, I'll post the grades I think they should have, just so we can compare.

    Tony - C
We can't expect to keep winning if Tony doesn't start being himself again. Right now, its Manu who is running the team, it should be Tony.

    Manu - A+
Not much more can be expected from Manu, he's done it all, even played like a PG in the 6th game vs. the Sonics LOL. Turnovers could be something to work on, but almost every All-Star guard makes more turnovers than Manu so that irrelevant.

    Bruce - A
Defence is his job, and defence is what he excells at. I don't think anyone can argue that Bruce was lacking in that department. Sure, his scoring hasn't been up-to-par, but what he has lacked in scoring he's made up in stiffling defensive effort.

    Tim - A-
We've come to expect so much from Timmy over the years that we've forgotten how hard it is lead a team like he does. His offensive output might have declined a bit (not that much really seeing as though he's leading all Spurs in scoring still) during these 2 series, but his defensive effort has been All-Star as usual. Take all that plus the injury and well... lets just say we should be able to forgive a few above-average performances from our superstar and hope that he can heal back to perfection soon.

    Nazr - A
What can I say about this guy that hasn't already been witnessed on the floor. Most people were ready to discard him as a possible addition to the playoff roster. I think we can all lay those doubts to rest now for he has proven his worth through and through. Wether it be on the offensive board, or an occasional but very important block, or even picking up the scoring slack when the superstars on the team just aren't performing, this guy has turned out to be a very valuable mid-season addition to our already remarkable group of overachievers.

    Barry - N/A
    Not applicable

    Horry - A
BIG SHOT ROB!! All I can say is WOW! Tim was right. This guys seems to save all his energy and determination for the playoffs, and what energy!! WHAT DETERMINATION! (that dunk in game 5 was SICK!)

    Devin - N/A
    Not applicable

    Rasho - N/A
    Not applicable

    Glen Robinson - C
Big Dog has been somewhat of a disappointment. Although that might be because of the added pressure of having joined a playoff contender 3/4 down the stretch and in such horrible physical condition (for an athlete) I might add.

    Beno - D
Beno simply hasn't been able to significantly produce in scoring, assists, rebounds or steals in the limited amount of playing time he has gotten. Although seeing as though Tony has had a rough time aswell, Beno should be given a break. Still somewhat of a disappointment.

    T-Mass - N/A
    Not applicable

    * Keep in mind these grades are relative to roles.

I'll concede on Manu, maybe I'm expecting too much. However, on Bruce my point is that we have seen stifling defense on Kobe while at the same time being a threat on offense. Game 6 was an example of the real Bruce.

Nazr, part of his role is to play defense as well. He's having minor problems in that department, but I'm flexible enough to see maybe an A-.

Nazr started the playoffs as a rebound specialist but gradually is also becoming a scoring threat. I loved those hooks he scored with. Not only does he rebound, dunk, and now he does it from three feet away.
Nazr has been a very pleasant surprise.
Barry didn't show anything vs Seattle(maybe because he felt conscious of them seeing his sorry ass in the shower for the last 4 years in Seattle?)
He has been a "bust" thus far.

Tony has been his usual self. Nobody has suggested a nickname for Tony but "Yo-yo"comes to mind."Yoyito" de carino.Him I give him A in some games and D's in others.
He has classic ADD. Attention Deficit Disorder. Sometimes he remembers how to run the offense and score and sometimes he forgets what he team he plays for.I'll cut him slack since he's only 23. Where were you @ 23? 6th street,Austin, puking your brains out?

Manu so far is an A+. Take away Manu and Spurs vs Sonics wouldn't of hapenned.

Timmy. A+ He can be 4 of 20 and score 26.

    Duncan( B-)
Game winning/series clinching shot was nice but there has not been the consistancy expected or needed out of a two time MVP, still he keeps guys focused and opposing D's honest.

Manu (A-) Will need to limit turnovers, especially vs PHX... fastbreak points will kill us.

Parker (B) Needs to step up and show why Spurs back court is most potent in the NBA.

Bowen (B) Defense has been excellent, bad calls have seemed to rattle him and keep him from his tenacious D, offense productivity needs to increase.

Barry (F) Not the cold blooded shooter we expected, thru 92 games he still hasnt heated up.

Nazr (C+) Are we seeing the big man of the future for the Spurs in the making, play has improved at the right time, clicks with the offense and hits the boards. Putting the ball on the floor a little to much for my taste but he is drawing the contact, alla 21.

good job. I might give Beno a D+. Parker is below a B. Bowen's role is a difficult one to grade. He's had his hands full defensively and that has dedinitely hurt his limited offense.

I thought our bench would give us real depth this year with some good play. So far, Horry is the only one who has come through with big contributions off the bench. I don't count NASR since he's been elevated to a strarter.

While Beno is a rookie, I thought he'd play better. Guess you sometimes see what we want to when evaluating a player. Brent continues to mystify. No desire to take a shot although he tries his best on defense.

Found one more thing Manu can do to improve, hit a higher percentage of his FTs down the stretch.
