Favors,Monroe, G.Hill or Carl Landry?

this created a big argument on one of my fantasy league message boards.
started over a guys rationale for selecting favors saying that he would have the greatest nba career by far over the other guys which were taken before.

My homer tendencies make me rank Hill pretty high knowing that his role is expanding.
Favors could be an allstar calibre player but could also be pretty average.
Landry... I think he may have hit his ceiling already
Monroe: I like him but I just don't think he'll ever be a dominant force.

what do you think on this?
am I overvaluing Hill?

I'll take Hill for fantasy value this season.

Landry will get less burn with Whiteside and Cousins.

Favors obviously has the most potential, so I would only choose him first in a keeper's league.

Monroe will be a slow riser in the NBA; his talent = his finesse and passing skills. It takes intelligent/skilled players a few years to get used to the NBA.

First one I'd take is Derrick Favors. He's 19 years old on a team with a lot of youth. He's going to get his minutes and here in just over a few years guys like Terrence Williams and Brook Lopez are going to be hitting their prime and that team should be a force to be reckoned with in the future. With his potential and Avery Johnson coaching him and making him play defense, there's no reason why he shouldn't turn out to be an all star caliber player.

on potential, I'd have to agree on Favors but one of the big arguments is the risk associated with taking him versus getting Hill who you have a pretty good idea about already

I'm curious to know why you say that it takes intelligent/skilled players a few years to get used to the NBA?

So which sort of players can play in the NBA straight away?

To me, its the intelligent (high basketball IQ) and skilled players that can play straight away and not just high ceiling players.

If Favors works as hard as Hill did, he could be All NBA material.

Take Favors. Hill might do better this season but after that, it is Favors all the way.
