what garment you will be dressed in then? your v-necked shirt?
Sorry,
But Oktoberfest was over last weekend...
Oktoberfest is easily the 2nd most overrated annual event. First being the complete ass whipping known as the State Fair.
Sorry, my wife and I just returned from Munchen and would beg to disagree.
Well in Germany it's probably pretty sweetIn Addison it blows.
I was there on the last Saturday.
Of course if you don't like crowds....
Women wear the traditional "Dirndl"
and men showing off in the traditional "lederhosen"
Of course a Dirndl does not have to be traditional...

Did you go to that ty ass one in Alpine Village?
Yeap, i did
Great pics, Slomo. We were there the prior Sunday, wasn't quite so crowded.
You probably don't live that far from me then. I'm about 15 minutes away from that ty place.
Im from West Covina
We always go to the one in New Braunfels. RG buys a pitcher of beer and shares whatever he can't finish. Everyone is high on beer and sausage. It's fantastic.
Slomo, that looks really fun!
I like OF in Addison. It is nothing special, but anytime you have food and drinks outside is fine by me.
That guy showing cleavage.
Nice pics Slomo, looks like big fun![]()
When we boarded the DB Rail ICE from Nurnburg to Munich, there was already a whole crew in drindl and lederhosen onboard drinking and getting ready for the celebration at the Weis'n. And this was at 8AM on a Sunday.
It's an experience, no doubt about it.
I have an office in Munich and I was there with my family because a colleague of mine was getting married.
So on the afternoon we come down to the lobby of the hotel, me wearing a suit and tie, my girls in some appropriate evening wear and everybody stares at us like "wtf are you people wearing!?"
Everybody in the lobby was wearing Dirndls and lederhosen despite the fact that I seriously doubt that even one of them was German!
We arrived at the Theresien Wiese on Saturday 10 minutes after the official opening time (10 am) and you couldn't get in any of the big brewery tents - there was a waiting line of at 100 people in front of each of them. And of course not a sober person within 50 yards from the tents
Definitely not a festival for wine drinkers
The pretzels rules though! (and they also help with the beer drinking).
