6. Effectively defend the pick and roll
1. Dominate the Boards. There is no reason why the spurs shouldn't have a field day on the boards against the Suns. Suns suck at rebounding.
2. Manu and Tony need to attack the rim and get to the line. Phoenix has very little depth and any foul trouble will cause them .
3. Run Nash into the ground. Spurs have always used the strategy of using lots of picks on Steve.
4. We need bench production. Wear those sobs out.
5. Tim needs to dominate in the paint. Once you see Jake Voskhul enter the game you know the spurs have imposed their will and Phoenix is beat.
6. Effectively defend the pick and roll
They like to pick and roll, our initial pick and roll defense against the Sonics was subpar in game five was it? But we are obviously capable of defending the pick and roll as show in game six, we just need to be ready to defend it because they WILL run it....
defend it like game 5.
The 4th quarter of game 5 was textbook on how to guard the pick and roll.
Do that, and you take away about 95% of their half court offense.
Also, try and get the Suns into playing 1 on 1, when you do that, you really have them beat, cause if you can force guys like Richardson, or Johnson or Jackson to play 1 on 1 selfish ball, then your really winning the game.
I think the Suns show many weaknesses, and a good coach will be able to exploit them and Pop is a much better coach than he was a few years ago in my opinion, this really is all on the players and their execution...
i think gino n beno will do a good job gaurd those pick n rolls
duncan needs to dominate on both ends and penetrate harder to get amare into foul trouble, our gaurds need to get into the lane n penetrate those bigs from phoenix
idle nash, and make amare take jumpshots instead of scorin at will inside
have a hand in every face jumpshot
make gino frustrate JJ n QR, easy
spurs in 6
exactly.have a hand in every face jumpshot
Stay at home, dont double down.
You can get Stoudamire in foul trouble VERY VERY easily.
we must clog up the middle when they run the pick and rolls, and please someone take a charge, Amare is out of control alot and is prone to offensive fouls
Sorry to say but, Spurs need to play with lots of Balls to beat the Suns...
All they need to do is score more points,
make free throws,
and show up for the game with an
AT UDE.
pop better use the sub rotation good not like in previous games where he takes out the hot guy.....![]()
