Hey Ace i'm just gonna add the card to this thread you started so we can use it for the official fight thread..
Matt Arroyo does an excellent impersonation of GSP:
"De first time I fight Matt Hughes, he was my idol. Da second time, he was my ."![]()

Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Josh Koscheck - This is a no-brainer. Kos got and all of his AKA got fans.
Heavyweight bout: Sean McCorkle vs. Stefan Struve - I like Struve, but he just barely eeked out victories in his last two, and looked like in the process.
Lightweight bout: Jim Miller vs. Charles Oliveira - He has a more American name, so he'll win.
Lightweight bout: Joe Stevenson vs. Mac Danzig - I love Daddy.
Welterweight bout: Thiago Alves vs. John Howard - Alves is such an overrated sack of .
It's starting to look that way. Alves is in a must win fight for him. He has to not only win but win by finish. He was so drained from weight going into the Fitch fight the guy looked like he had one foot in the coffin..
GSP
Alves
Joe Daddy
Jim Miller
Sean McCorkle
this card sucks honestly outside of the main event i have zero interest in this card
(changed my pick to Sean)

Yeah i was dissapointed in it myself. Clearly the UFC is just gonna sell and make most of the money for this in Canada because of GSP. That was their plan.. They won't get tons of PPV buys in the US with a lackluster rest of the card..
Nah, I bet this is in the top 60% of PPV cards -- if I knew how to figure it out, I would -- but enough people want to see KOS get his ing ass beat that they'll get the card. I know I will.
GSP vs Kos
Stefan Struve vs Sean McCorkle
Jim Miller vs Charles Oliveira
Joe Stevenson vs Mac Danzig
Thiago Alves vs John Howard
Alves/Howard is a pick em fight. It's so hard to know what Alves is showing up. The Alves that murdered guys like Hughes and Karo. The Alves that beat Koscheck up for 15 min.. Or the Alves that was drained from weight cut and fought like he didn't have a heartbeat against Fitch.. Howard has good striking and hits hard but he is inconsistant. Should be fun to watch since both guys are likely gonna slug it out.. I don't know who to pick though.
I'm gonna wait to see how Alves looks at the weigh in. If he misses weight again or looks like he killed himself to make it, i am definately picking Howard..
Pussy.
Just make your pick already.
Sucks, i just bought a new TV so i want to buy this for that reason...but the card sucks...Id like to see the GSP v KOS fight, but i am afraid it wont even be that great.
Main card
Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Josh Koscheck
Heavyweight bout: Sean McCorkle vs. Stefan Struve
Lightweight bout: Jim Miller vs. Charles Oliveira
Lightweight bout: Joe Stevenson vs. Mac Danzig
Welterweight bout: Thiago Alves vs. John Howard
Preliminary card
Lightweight bout: Mark Bocek vs. Dustin Hazelett
Middleweight bout: Jesse Bongfeldt vs. Rafael Natal
Welterweight bout: Matt Riddle vs. Sean Pierson
Middleweight bout: Joe Doerksen vs. Dan MillerWelterweight bout: TJ Grant vs. Ricardo Almeida
Lightweight bout: Pat Audinwood vs. John Makdessi
My Predictions:
GSP vs Kos
Stefan Struve vs Sean McCorkle
Jim Miller vs Charles Oliveira
Thiago Alves vs John Howard
TJ Grant vs Ricardo Almeida
Main card
Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Josh Koscheck
Josh is the worst matchup for GSP. The champ is the best when he faces guys which has a weaker point. Kos is very versatile and it's hard to find a bad area that GSP can capitalize on. Also AKA is really great gym and Koscheck will be prepared.
I think again George will try to put his opponent on his back and beat him there.
Heavyweight bout: Sean McCorkle vs. Stefan Struve
Lightweight bout: Jim Miller vs. Charles Oliveira
Lightweight bout: Joe Stevenson vs. Mac Danzig
Welterweight bout: Thiago Alves vs. John Howard
This gonna be a wow battle. I do not know if to believe in Howards words that he is gonna stand and bang with Alves. But I think he can do that. Thiago has good takedown D. So standup action will be there.
I wonder if Alves gonna lose are they going to cut him?
Preliminary card
Lightweight bout: Mark Bocek vs. Dustin Hazelett
Ahh this is what I like. One of the best ground specialists face each other. Dustin gonna be as thin as paper at 155lbs
Welterweight bout: TJ Grant vs. Ricardo Almeida
Hopefully Ricky woke up from the Hughes choke
I think Kos is gonna try and shoot on GSP early in the fight. He may be the only one in the WW division that can get a couple of TD's on GSP. After he has little success with the TD, he'll get aggressive trying to KO GSP and then the mistakes will start coming into play. GSP is way faster than Kos and alot more technical on the feet. Kos still loves to head hunt with that overhand right.. GSP by TKO 4th RD or submission..
Watch people change the pick if he weighs in like or good. Alves making weight compfortably and Alves drained are night and day..
if GSP wins it will be by decision or late round sub. GTFO with that TKO talk db... I hope I don't eat my own words
Why can't GSP TKO Kos?? He did Hughes twice and Penn
Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Josh Koscheck
- This fight will end in stoppage, don't know when or how, but it will not go the distance.
Heavyweight bout: Sean McCorkle vs. Stefan Struve
-I can't pick against the Dutchman while I'm staying in his country.
Lightweight bout: Jim Miller vs. Charles Oliveira
- I appreciate Miller's work ethic, but Oliveira is on fire and seems much more dynamic. On the bright side, if Oli loses by UD at least he'll gain some good knowledge on working 3 rounds and wearing down the opponent.
Lightweight bout: Joe Stevenson vs. Mac Danzig
- Cobra Kai for life.
Welterweight bout: Thiago Alves vs. John Howard
- Something is wrong with Alves,I think. His head just isn't in the game and I think that even tho Howard is not as strong or big as Alves, he will work for a UD and get it.
I'm not going this time
those fat fake tough bags who will be lining up in front of the Bell Center
