Yao going to be healthy enough to start?
On Oct 26, 10:30 PM on NBA TV.
Rockets blowout the heavily injured Lakers by 20 and kick-start the Lakers season
Don't mind the Lakers fans; they can't read very well.
Just another lottery team that will get smashed by the lakeshow, nothing to see here.
even with T-Mac gone it'll still be fun to watch the matchups between Lakers and Rockets tbh, and i guess that's exactly the reason why Stern often chooses this couple to play the opening game tbh. it's like the 3rd time in five years that these two teams play on the opening night.
Is there a reason this thread was started more than a week early?
I expect the Rockets to win this barring any deliberate Stern/referee interference. I don't think the Lakers are ready for the start of the season.

Rockets probably win tbh, Lakers need time to wake up from their slumber
Christ, yer contrary of later, Dead.
Doesn't LA usually take the night off during their ring ceremonies? They've had so many now I can't remember...
I think they won last year tho...
Kevin Martin establishing superstar status in this game?? MVP?
Steve Francis with the game winner... you heard it here first...
I'm going with the Rockets. Too much depth for a Lakers team missing Bynum and without Bryant at full strength.
Even though Yao will be be restricted to only 24 minutes, it will be nice to see Gasol have to guard someone substantially bigger than him for once. Usually, it's the other way around. We'll see how he does when he's not able to simply outsize someone, like he got to do against the undersized trio of Green, Boozer and Stoudemire, in last season's playoffs.
How's mom, Vent?
Rockets should win but find a way to lose...as usual when it comes to the Lakers.
Very true, Lakers scrubs always surprise me with their ability to become red-hot when the game actually matters
Rockets win, but then there is 81 games left in this mother er. Long season ahead, unlike say the NFL.
Lakers will officially clinch the Western Conference after Tuesday .......
i would slurp your balls if the Rockets didn't lose by 11 or more. Lakers are gonna dominate the west again. Lakers will be impeded by no western team, especially not the Rockets.
