ahh nevermind lol, just checked and the channel info says:

"FOX has pulled this channel after demanding an outrageous rate increase from DISH Network. Call FOX and ask for your channel back! 310-369-1000."

what a bummer... looks like I'm gonna have to switch

I like how DISH network is placing the blame squarely on FOX. It's more like, DISH network has refused to pay FOX the rate increases that they desire, and both refuse to negotiate to a rate somewhere in the middle.

I don't have DISH network, I have a network that isn't so cheap so as to eliminate a major local sports network due to some petty rate increases, so I'll be watching the game just fine.

If you want to complain, I suggest you complain directly to DISH network. The more people complain to them, the more they will be willing to negotiate a deal with FOX.

Otherwise you can forget ever getting FOX back. If nobody complains, DISH will believe that FOX does not bring in a sufficient amount of viewers and the more they will feel justified in dropping FOX.

Yeah, TWC went through this negotiation stuff a while back as well, and we were looking at losing several fox affiliated channels if the new deal wasnt met by the deadline. TWC claimed to be hard-up when it came to negotiations, but when it came down to it a deal was met in the 11th hour and we didnt lose any of our channels, nor have i seen a huge increase in my bill. My bill is the same as its been, so TWC realized you have to spend money to make money, and realized they were going to have a LOT of angry spurs fans (at the least) who were not able to view the games on FSSW.

DishNetwork is trying to put the blame solely on fox, as a previous poster said, and the best thing to do is leave DishNetwork for somebody else. Call in and complain as well, you'll be surprised how much room the CSR's have to work with you as far as crediting your account because you are unhappy about your service.

Comcast threw Fox off their system because Fox hiked the price from $70M to $150, IIRC.

He's in a really tough spot, because preseason for somebody new to the league is very important to get adjusted to new opponents, get their timing and get to know your teammates.

He's going to start playing the right way when it counts. (Tiago) just needs to be patient and relax and things will come to him because he's a great kid, a hard worker and he knows how to play.

I just voiced a complaint with the DISH s ...the jagoff on the phone said they are trying to negotiate a deal and they realize the nba season starts a week from today.

Told him I will be canceling my svc if it is not resolved.

Don't think it really matters to them-but we'll see.

FOX demanded a 50% increase in fees. I'd have told them to get ed, too. Dish also didn't "drop" FOX. FOX stopped feeding them.

How would you feel if your bank just suddenly jacked your car payment by 50%? Oh, and that fee increase WILL be passed on to you at some point, so be careful who's side you chose in this fracas.

I wonder if I get that channel on this U-Verse my dad has at his house down here in Dallas. I'm in Texas for a few weeks unfortunately, otherwise I'd be able to watch it at home on LP in Myrtle Beach.
