Reacting to NBA Commissioner David Stern's comments that he wants player salaries cut by one-third, Rondo said he wants to be prepared.
Rondo is the Celtics' alternate player representative. He says he's "saving a lot of money this year."

Rondo is scheduled to earn $9 million this season.

I guess this means he's only buying two Maseratis this year?

Huh? Why wouldn't you save tons of money when you're making that much? Look at Eddy Curry's story and tell me what Rondo said is crazy.

People that don't make a lot of money look at the $9 million and think he gets to keep all of that......

After taxes, he is just at $5+ million....

Pretty stupid in my book, he's been in the NBA for 4 years now, he shoulda been saving for awhile. Someone with a multimillion dollar salary shouldn't be living paycheck to paycheck.

20 years? Some study said 60% of NBA vets are broke 5 years after retirement.

well everyone from family to friends want some money

    fck that

    then u have charities and

dont these clowns get meal allowances and flights/hotels paid for when on the road?

maybe the teams should cut that in the new CBA and make the players for these expenses....
