My First Spurs Home Game

Hey Guys;

For the first time in my life I'll be attending a Spurs Home game. It'll be the second game of the season vs. the NOLA Hornets.

I have seen them play 3 times before, once in 2005 and other two in 2007 always vs. the Mavs, all victories. Both campaigns I saw them play live ended in a championship. I'm stoked that I'm going to be able to see them play once again.

I have some questions for you guys that go more often that I wonder if you could help me answer.

1) Will security let me in with several Jerseys that I'm planning on getting signed and the 2007 collectors golden basketball?

2) Will they also let me bring in a sealed bottle of wine that I'm pretending to send over to Pop through the players?

3) If we end up winning it all, would you all donate money for me to go see them again the next campaign?

4) Is anybody interested in meeting for beers pre or post game? I have made several friends on here over the years and it'd be a blast if I could get to meet some of you and/or all of you why not in a laid back environment simply to talk about the Spurs and life in general.

5) Any recommendations for me to find previous seasons Spurs official training gear apart from Academy? maybe the deep discount stores like ROSS or TJMAXX?

I look forward to getting some PM's and/or replies.

I'll be at the game Saturday as well.... I only get to go to about 2 or 3 games every year because I live about 2 1/2 hours away and of course the money and everything...

Normally I would be there as my wife's birthday coincides with the beginning of the regular season and her favorite thing to do on her birthday is go to SA, but financial constraints will not allow it this year. Hope you have a great time.

I was so lucky. He only signed for one other person and me. I don't know if being on the road helped, there weren't many people around at that time. It also must be crazy at home games. Good luck, I hope you have a great time no matter how it plays out.

Make sure to tell them you're from overseas and try to get them to let you in early.
I had floor seats last time I went to the AT&T Center and by the time they let us in, they already preselected some people to get autographs by the tunnel, and wouldn't let us get near even though our seats were like 5 seats away from it.

We had a great time though. I normally get luckier getting autographs when they play on the road.

One more tip: By all means you should also tell Alejo/Larra to tell Manu that you're going. No, it's not lame and maybe it won't matter, but you really dont lose anything by doing so.
Last time I spoke with Manu in NJ, I told him that we went to SA and couldn't get close to say hi, and he told me I should have told Larra that I was going.
So give it a shot. You got nothing to lose.
