Makes Parker's contract look fantastic..
And I didn't miss a decimal. He really did just get one of the worst contracts in history.
Makes Parker's contract look fantastic..
He's still with the Grizzlies, right? That owner is a complete moron.
Makes Gilbert Arenas's contract look respectable.

And since I respect Matt Moore's writing, it's hard (yet still a little funny) to watch him flame out.

First Rudy Gay a max contract and now Conley with 9 mil a year? If O.J. gets a max contract, I don't know what to say.
OJ the Juiceman should get out of that hole as soon as he can.
Mike Conley Sr and Bill Duffy just ran a train on Chris Wallace
Still will be nickel and diming their rookies next year...
just Memphis FO doing what it's supposed to do, nothing to see here...
15.7 ppg, 8.3 apg, 5.7 rpg, and 3.7 spg through 3.
Conley has been playing better than OJ so far in this young campaign. I think this is a fair price for him.
he's actually a good player. he's probably not going to live up to that contract. he's worth 6 mil max 7 mil a year.
11.0 ppg, 4.7 apg, 2.9 rpg, 1.2 spg through 218
Those two words being the key ones, of course ..
You do understand it's only 3 games, look at his overall production over the years. Not clearly worth 9 mil a year.
I really don't get how Grizzlies gave him $9m a year after 3 games. Even Wallace is not stupid enough to think that 11/3/5 lotto point guard is worth than MLE type money.
I mean Luis Scola only got a 47/5 contract.
He's been ok. Had a very good game against Atlanta but they lost. He sucked against Dallas. Then they played Minnesota where of course he was going to play well. Three games is still only three games. I don't see how anyone can look at three games where he was actually up and down to justify $9 million a year.
Midlevel exemption at best, don't know how they are going to rebuild if they keep re-signing these players with long term big money contracts. I bet they're going to overpay O.J. Mayo, probably like 5 million less than max i presume.
That sounds like 1m/year more than Conley's contract.
