Let's hope they keep this hot shooting up, or at least find it again for the playoffs.

They are also leading (allowing the highest %) the league in opponents' 3pt% at the same number (.427). Need to close out on shooters better. Desperately.

2nd highest amount of three-points made by a team in a single game since stats were counted in 1987 (bball-reference)

I liked their defense better when it centered around limiting the number of threes a team could attempt and not even paying attention to the percentage.

The Spurs used to employ that strategy against the Suns a few years ago, and was the primary reason, in my opinion, that your team kept beating ours in the playoffs. The perimeter defenders (granted, with Bowen) would stay at home on the shooters and let Amare and Nash do their thing in the paint. By the end of the game, Nash and Amare would have monster stat lines, but no one else on the team would.

    Agreed.

Having two good post defenders (IE Duncan Splitter) Should aid in the return of said strategy.

I agree. That strategy helped them to beat some pretty damn good Suns teams that could really fill it up from outside. It's funny that the Spurs have placed sop much emphasis on shooting more threes, but they've almost forgotten that little defensive gem.
